I made it this far now.

Oh the days of Yellowcard.
I miss 'em.

Well, everything is going great!
I'm starting my Mary Kay whenever the starter kit gets here.
Still applying for jobs, it sucks. : (
Jared and I are starting to plan our special day in bits and pieces.

Papa's good!
They released him today.
They are currently on their way back to the Kasilof. Going home!
Dad drove behind Grandma so she had help when she needed it.
He comes back tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed for a safe trip!

Oh goodness!!!! Jared and I went to my Aunt Leslie's last night for some dinner. She made home made pasta for the first time. I got to help : P It was fun. Well, I'm not sure what the dish was called but they were like rolls of pasta with spinach and cheeses in the middle with tomato/marinara sauce on top. With home made garlic bread.
I'm a very picky eater but I looooved it!

I now want my own pasta roller. Thingy. lol.
Oh, I have found a new favorite treat.
Those little baby cheeses? They're like Babybel or some crap I have no idea.
When I get them again I'll write it down.
They're just little circles of cheese and it was my first time munchin' on one yesterday.
New favorite.

Random question for the day, do dogs hiccup?

My New Old Phone

I babysat yesterday and currently am right now.
It's so cute, Brooke's napping in Roo is half asleep watching cartoons on the couch. Pretty easy kids, huh?
Well, yesterday...
I was texting and baby Brooke was reaching for my phone. I guess I wasn't really thinking about it and handed it right over. The whole time I watched her she didn't put it in her mouth but the last few minutes of her pleasure it was in there.
I didn't think it'd really do any damage. Buuut, now it doesn't work so I had to rush down to ACS and get my old phone turned back on.
I didn't really mind because my old phone was still in like brand new condition.
Come to find out, I am in love all over again! It was a favorite and after two years I was ready to try something new but now that I have this back I'm not sure why I ever gave it up. :)
It feels like I have a new present to play with, you know?
Anyway, I know this isn't too exciting or anything but I was pretty happy about it.

As for everything else, I'm still on the job search. I feel like I've applied every where I am qualified for in the city of Anchorage so just keep your fingers crossed for me!
I'm currently thinking of ways to express myself. Just in small itty bitty ways.
I think I'd like to bake for the people I'm babysitting for. They're really nice people who bend over backwards for you. The kind that create a family with anyone their close to and invite you in with welcome arms. It's refreshing to have people around like that.
I think I might crochet a blanket for my Akha and Appah. (My Grandparents in Nome.)
It's been far too long since I've seen them or talked to them.
I need to write a letter back to my aunt, I always stall that until last minute, it makes me feel rude.
And I really want to think of something to brighten my grandma's spirits. She's been having to deal with too much on her own. Any ideas?
And, my parents deserve something really nice. They've been five star parents and there aren't enough ways to say thank you.

Well, I have to think of what I'm going to do with my make-up. Fiesta dinner at Jared's mom's house tonight!
And, Roo's getting a little anxious now that she's up.
Have a fuuuun weekend everyone!

Lazy Days

The past couple of days have been amazing!
Well, as amazing as they can possibly be made. :)
Papa had to go to the hospital, he had three infections.
Surgery on the shoulder.
He's currently on a stream of antibiotics for six weeks (Alzheimer's) and being the stubborn
man he is he's been trying to pull them out! Goof ball! It was to be expected though. But he's doing great.
Surgery went awesome, he's doing everything he needs to.
It's a big weight of my chest.
As for my parents they're fabulous! Even after twenty plus years they're still flirting and having good laughs which makes me smile.
I've been hanging out with my Grandma when possible.
And seeing a lot more of my two aunts, uncle, two cousins, brother, and sister-in-law.
I love being around my family, we totally complete each other.

Today is Jared's Sunday though and I'm not too excited for that but we had a fun 'weekend!'
Him and our room mate had some drinks and I don't think we've ever laughed that hard the entire time we've all known each other. Today we went and checked out our friend's art in a gallery. I'm really excited for him! He goes by Bisco and he is a true inspiration. If you go down to Two Spirits Gallery downtown next to stage left you can check it out. He has a true talent!
Then we walked around the mall for absolutely no reason. Got some groceries and drove around aimlessly which seems to be our new favorite thing to do.
I think video games are in order for the night.

Oh! Some more good news. I'm currently unemployed but it won't last too long (I've promised myself.) But, I've been talking to my mom and the rest of the women in my family and we're thinking of me starting Mary Kay. It sounds flimsey but it won't be the only thing I do, but I feel it's really going to bring the girls in closer and open up a little more room for fun and goodies. :)
I am pretty excited to start that adventure. And no one can deny a little extra money.

Anyhoooo. Jared's starting to look a little lonely on the couch and the t.v. sounds rather interesting. Mmmm great night. Have a good one!

Today

Today is my first day ever blogging. Other than one or two on myspace.
Not really sure how it goes but I'll just start talking.

I have no fun stories or great experiences to talk about. I'm pretty simple
and my life in Alaska is rather boring (to most).
I am engaged, which is fabulous! My boy is wonderful and I couldn't imagine
one day of my 'boring' life without him. He is the glue that holds me together.
Today has been rather uneventful. Jared's at work :( I'm sitting at my parents' house.
I've been learning how to do my make up and hair! Sounds pretty stupid but I've never been one to really care about looks. I must say though, I look great! Haha.

I'm starting to miss my friends! All my old friends have moved away to start their lives.
Rachel is in France. Julia in California, Courtney in Chicago (I believe that's the last place I recall her being, she joined the Navy and we haven't really talked since she left), Chandra in Texas, Marissa in Florida, and the friends left here are all planning on leaving within the next year. Sad! I'll be here all by myself. I'm not too sure how I feel about that though. I mean, I love Alaska, it'll always be home. Even if I moved I'd probably move back. But does that make me the boring one? Sounds like my life is going no where but I'm not going to allow that. Where ever I am I think I'll achieve whatever I put my thick skull to.
But, I just got news that my grandparents are coming into town.
Better start cleaning!
